MCP Directory indexes public Model Context Protocol servers from GitHub and organizes them so AI engineers can find the right tool quickly.

How it works

A weekly script scans GitHub for repos tagged with mcp, model-context-protocol, or whose own name, description, or topics identify them as MCP projects (a passing README mention isn't enough — that keeps the index precise). We extract metadata, infer a category, and rebuild the static site. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics.

Free & open

The site is free, ad-free, and has no paid placement. Listings are auto-indexed from public GitHub repositories and ranked only by the data — stars, recency, and category.

MCP Directory is not affiliated with Anthropic or the MCP authors. The MCP spec and trademarks belong to their owners.
